Rev. Michael Howlett

Rev. Michael Howlett gave his life to the Lord at Community Church of God in Illinois, in 1975 at the age of 17.  He studied the Word of God under his spiritual father, Dr. Lorenzo Thurman, Pastor of Community Church of God.  Dr. Thurman would later nickname Rev. Howlett as his ‘businessman’ as he assisted Dr. Thurman in various business acquisitions.

Rev. Michael Howlett attended Rock Valley College in Illinois, majoring in Electronics. He acknowledged his call to preach in July of 2008 during a Sunday morning worship service at Blessed Family Covenant Church.  He studies under Pastor Wendy Howlett and has attended several theological classes, including BFCC’s Preaching Class 101. He brings a unique humor to the Word of God while establishing biblical principles.          Rev. Howlett became a Licensed Minister of the Gospel in 2016.

Rev. Michael Howlett currently serves as president of Blessed Family Covenant Church Men’s Fellowship.  He is an original member of the Board of Trustees of Blessed Family Covenant Church and continues to serve in this position.  He is employed as a Transit Sales Manager for the NS Corporation, in California.

Rev. Michael Howlett is husband to Pastor Wendy Howlett. He is a grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and great-uncle.  He’s a big brother to many of the young men and a brother to the men in the church body.

Reverend Randy Smith

Reverend Randy Smith was raised in Illinois with his three sisters, one brother, his mother, and his stepfather.  Rev. Smith gave his life to the Lord at a young age.  He attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church. 

Rev. Smith graduated from West High School, Illinois in 1987.  The following year he enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he served until 1991.  Rev. Smith later served nine years in the U.S. National Guard.  After relocating to Los Angeles, California, Rev. Smith worked as a dental assistant for fifteen years.

Rev. Smith accepted his call to the ministry. He is a minister of the Gospel at Blessed Family Covenant Church.  He was spiritually raised under the tutelage of Rev. Wendy Howlett, pastor of Blessed Family Covenant Church.  He successfully attended BFCC’s Preaching 101 class.  Rev. Smith received his Certificate of License as a Minister of the Gospel in 2016.

Rev. Smith graduated from Westwood College with a BA Degree in Criminal Justice.  He is currently employed as a Supervisor at First Transit in Los Angeles, California

Rev. Randy Smith is married and still considers himself to be a newlywed.

Rev. Patrick Clark

Rev. Patrick Clark’s natural and spiritual foundation began in Illinois.  As a member of Community Church of God, he grew under the leadership of the late Pastor Lorenzo Thurman.  It was at Community Church of God where he learned the value of serving in the house of the Lord at a young age.       Rev. Clark was part of the CCG Youth Choir and as a young adult served in the Church-owned restaurant.  He went on to serve in various capacities through the years in the body of Christ.

Rev. Patrick Clark gave his life to the Lord at the age of 22.  He relocated to California at the age of 26.  In 1995, Rev. Clark married and became the proud father of a daughter.  After Pastor Lorenzo Thurman went home to be with the Lord, Rev. Clark came under the leadership of Pastor Wendy Howlett.

Over the years, Rev. Patrick Clark began to develop a closer personal relationship with the Lord.  After praying one day, the Lord showed him a sign that he had been called to the ministry.  He attended Pastor Wendy Howlett’s Preaching 101 course where he gained insight into preaching.  He successfully completed the course.

Through most of the major milestones in Rev. Clark’s life, he has found his current pastor, Pastor Wendy Howlett, to be a part.  Her prayers and wisdom have been a useful asset as he continues to develop in the ministry.

Rev. Patrick Clark received his License Certificate in the Ministry in 2016.  He continues to grow and preach the Gospel and ministers to the Body of Christ with his gift of helps.

Rev. Patrick Clark is a husband and father of two adult children.

Rev. Everett Lamkin

Rev. Everett Lamkin is a Graduate of Cal State Northridge with a BA Degree in History, with a minor in Psychology.  He has a Certificate of Divinity from Fuller Seminary.

Rev. Lamkin is a Licensed Mortgage professional in the Mortgage Industry.  He published a book along with launching a new corporation to teach City Youth regarding credit, the mortgage industry and building generational wealth in 2021. 

Rev. Everett Lamkin frequently has speaking engagements encouraging others to continue the good fight of faith.  He loves to help and encourage people.

Rev. Everett Lamkin is a “Girl Dad” of three beautiful daughters.

In his free time, Rev. Everett Lamkin, likes to read, travel and walk on the beach.

Rev. Marquise Clark

Rev. Marquise Clark attended Community Church of God in Illinois beginning at the age of two.  Her mother believed that she and her three siblings belonged in the House of God.  She gave her life to the Lord at the age of 15.  She was given a charge by her former pastor, Dr. Lorenzo Thurman, to ‘save the children’. As a member of Blessed Family Covenant Church, she acknowledged her call to preach in August of 2000.

Rev. Marquise Clark studied under Pastor Wendy Howlett and attended several theological classes, including BFCC’s Preaching 101 and 102.  

An excellent alto, Rev. Clark serves in the BFCC Choir.  She is part of the BFCC Praise and Worship Team and is an Armor Bearer to Pastor Wendy Howlett.

Rev. Marquise Clark loves cooking and serves as a cook for BFCC. She helps with organizing the Church’s outreach ministry, “Seniors Thursday,” along with BFCC’s Hospitality Auxiliary.

 

Rev. Clark’s formal education includes Upward Bound Pre-College and college education in the medical field.  She is a certified and licensed LVN.  Rev. Clark is also a meal planner and jewelry maker.  She received her Certificate of Ordination in 2016.

Rev. Marquise Clark enjoys her service to the Body of Christ and her Lord.

Rev. Evette Fricks

Rev. Evette Fricks surrendered her life to God on a Sunday morning at the age of sixteen while attending Community Church of God, Rockford, IL, under the leadership of Pastor Lorenzo Thurman.  Her dedication and commitment followed to Blessed Family Covenant Church.

From 1997 – 1999, Rev. Fricks served as a teacher for Blessed Family Covenant Church’s Children’s Church.  In 1999, she also hosted and taught Saturday Night Bible Study with the young adults in the Church.  She acknowledged and accepted her call to preach in 1999.

Over the years, Rev. Fricks has served Blessed Family Covenant Church as youth coordinator, choir member, organizer, Armor Bearer to Pastor Wendy Howlett, Administrative Assistant for the Ministers of BFCC and the Pastoral Anniversary Chairperson.  She received her License of Ministry in 2006 and her Certificate of Ordination in 2016.

Rev. Fricks is president of Women of Faith, Virtue, Vision and Love, which is an auxiliary organization within Blessed Family Covenant Church. Woman of Faith was founded to encourage, empower and enrich the lives of women.  In fall of 2019, Rev. Fricks published her first book, “Growing in Wisdom, Stature and Favor”.

Rev. Evette Fricks is a proud mother, mother-in-law and grandmother to two grandsons.

Rev. Gabriel Walker

Rev. Gabriel Walker spent most of his adolescent and teen years in Community Church of God, where the late Dr. Lorenzo Thurman was senior pastor.

Rev. Walker watched and observed the Spirit of God and the people of God operating in the Spirit in the Church.  He was born into and trained in the House of God under the teachings of Dr. Lorenzo Thurman and Pastor Wendy Howlett.  He gave his life to the Lord in December, 1992 and accepted the calling of God on his life as a minister of the Gospel in 1996.

Rev. Walker resides in Southern California, where he is a proud member and servant of Blessed Family Covenant Church. His soul’s desire is to live and walk in the presence of God all the days of his life and to be pleasing to God.  Rev. Walker further desires to be “meet for the Master’s use’ and to be used as a blessing to the Saints of the Most High God. He, also, serves the ministry as a ‘fisher of men’. Rev. Walker likes grilling and cooking, and uses these skills for the Church’s Hospitality Auxiliary and  Outreach.

Rev. Walker attended DeVry University, majoring in Electronics.  He also has a practical education from living and befriending many of those who live in ‘the hood’ which has given him insight to the issues facing men of color and the youth.  He received his Certificate of Ordination in 2016.

Rev. Walker is a husband and father.  His declaration is ‘All of my boasts are in the Lord.’
